It is a wonderful short book about consciousness. Book dwells over a very important question about how consciousness appears and what we know about it.

Author starts with basic concepts about it and book is written in very enjoyable prose. She clearly defines what she seeks to decipher in this essay and gives scientific arguments in favour of whatever scientific data we have in the field of consciousness.

She makes it easier for reader to gain insights into this difficult philosophical questions.

There is whole basket of very interesting facts from medical science, scientist’s opinions, nice diagrams and philosophical illusions like illusion of rubber hand, illusion of self and free will and many more.

Historical facts and research about consciousness is mentioned with examples of landmark experiments in this field.

Their is no factual jargon and whole essay appears coherent and worth reading with full focus.

Book is divided into well formed chapters with answers to most of the questions that authors seeks to answer in the start of the book.

A person from medical background will find it much easier but every nonfiction reader will love to read this masterpiece.
